(SAVANNAH, GA) To provide help with financial planning during a divorce, Coastal Divorce Advisors, LLC has opened in Savannah on 21 East York Street. The goal of the firm is to provide clients with the support and guidance they need to make intelligent, unemotional financial decisions as they navigate the divorce process.
A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 11 a.m. at their new office, located at 21 East York Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
“We serve as the financial expert on the divorce team, working hand in hand with our client’s divorce attorney to guide our clients through the complex process of dividing the marital assets and finances,” Sam Hubbard, MBA, CFA, CDFA, who is both founder and principal of the firm. “Since 80 to 85 percent of a divorce is about the financials, it just makes sense to let an expert in divorce financial planning help you move forward with confidence.”
Coastal Divorce Advisors analyzes the assets and considers potential tax implications, evaluates settlement options, and provides short-term and long-term projections to enable the attorney to negotiate the most favorable settlement agreement.
“We also provide expert witness testimony in court to further support your case,” remarked Hubbard. “This helps level the playing field for spouses who may be less involved with the family finances.”
Prior to founding Coastal Divorce Advisors, Hubbard was a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in New York City, where he developed financial plans, asset allocation models, and appropriate investment strategies for high-net-worth clients.
Born and raised in Savannah, Hubbard graduated from St. Andrew’s School. He received a BA from Furman University in Greenville, SC, and an MBA, with a dual concentration in finance and management, from Fordham University in New York City. He also earned both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA™) designations as well as holds life, health and accident life insurance licenses. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the Atlanta Society of Financial and Investment Professionals (ASFIP), and the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts.
