GOING WILD FOR THE KINGFISHER DISCOVERY CENTER
(SAVANNAH, GA) Dr. Shields, president of the Savannah Coastal Wildlife Refuges, has made it a mission to get kids outside and learn about wildlife. That is why he and the others at the refuge are trying to raise enough money to add the Kingfisher Discovery Center which will be located by the visitors center. This new building will be able to fit 100 students to come and learn about the environment. To help fund the $350,000 project, community members will participate in DASH a six-week scavenger hunt to see which team can raise the most money by October 15.
