(AUGUSTA, GA) The City of Augusta and the Augusta Regional Collaboration project are in the final weeks of surveying the general Augusta community about the need for exhibition and workspace for local artists. This survey will be critical to finalizing the scope for an upcoming ArtSpace site to be located in the city’s urban core area. The survey closes Wednesday, June 19th. (AUGUSTA, GA) Mayor Deke Copenhaver’s office announced this past week that total revenue from the Local Option Sales taxes is up $16,000 as compared with this time last year.

 

(AUGUSTA, GA) The Laney Walker/Bethlehem Revitalization Effort, in partnership with Antioch Ministries, Inc., is moving forward with Phase 2 of its development of Holley Street Commons. (AUGUSTA, GA) At the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce’s May board meeting, Chester A. Wheeler, Director of the Housing & Community Development Department, unveiled a report card on the nationally-acclaimed Laney Walker/Bethlehem Revitalization Effort. Highlights of the report include: total economic impact on the area of almost $21 million, five year return on investment of 82%, and 285 total jobs created.
