(AUGUSTA, GA) The Augusta Canal National Heritage Area, the Augusta Civil War Roundtable, the Augusta Museum of History, the Augusta-Richmond County Historical Society, the Center for the Study of Georgia History at Augusta State University, Historic Augusta, Inc., the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History, and the Morris Museum of Art present a symposium exploring the rich history of the Civil War. (AUGUSTA, GA) The Board of the Augusta Housing Authority has approved construction of 24 – 26 senior housing units on the Immaculate Conception property located at 11th Street and Laney Walker Boulevard. The Housing Authority is working in tandem with Augusta’s Housing Department on a design that fits within the guidelines of the Laney Walker/Bethlehem Redevelopment Plan.
