Charles Bowen of The Bowen Law Group to Speak at Leadership NOW Lecture on Tuesday, February 3

(SAVANNAH, GA) The Savannah Jaycees announces that Charles Bowen will be the second speaker in the 2015 Leadership NOW Lecture Series on Tuesday, February 3 at the Savannah Jaycees headquarters, located at 101 Atlas Street. Open networking begins at 5:30 p.m. and the program will run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Based out of Savannah, Bowen is a business attorney who focuses on commercial, banking and manufacturing law and also offers comprehensive mediation services. Bowen has received the Martindale-Hubbell® AV® Preeminent™ rating, the highest rating based upon confidential surveys sent to other attorneys. Bowen was also selected by the members of the State Bar of Georgia in December of 2014 as one of Georgia Trend’s 12th Annual Legal Elite in two categories: Business Law and Corporate Law. He was the only Savannah attorney to be selected in either category.

“I will present ‘Lessons Learned from Atticus Finch,’” said Bowen, “Not only is To Kill a Mockingbird one of the greatest novels ever written, but Harper Lee’s fictional lawyer embodies values and ideals that extend far beyond the legal field. He provides many examples of leadership that can apply to anyone who strives to make a true difference in both their public and private lives.”

Bowen attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia where he graduated summa cum laude with honors in both psychology and political science. Upon graduating from Georgetown University Law Center in 1995, Bowen moved to Savannah and established a corporate law practice. This year will mark Bowen’s 20th year in practice as an attorney.

Savannah Jaycees’ current president, Randi Hempel said, “Leadership NOW is a lecture series focused on leadership, management, and professional skills. We are very appreciative that Mr. Bowen made time in his busy schedule to give us advice from his experience."

The Savannah Jaycees invites the media and the public to attend the meeting on Tuesday, February 3. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions. No RSVP is required. For more information on the Savannah Jaycees or the Leadership NOW Series, visit http://www.savannahjaycees.com/
