CENTER PARC CREDIT UNION SIGNS STADIUM NAMING-RIGHTS DEAL

(ATLANTA, GA) The stadium formerly known as Turner Field is getting a new name. Georgia State University has signed a stadium naming-rights deal with Center Parc Credit Union. GSU, a Sun Belt Conference school, has agreed to a 15-year deal worth $21.5 million with the organization that operates under Atlanta Postal Credit Union, making it one of the richest naming rights deals outside of Power Five conferences, according to Sports Business Journal. Center Parc Credit Union plans to open two Chatham County locations in September at the Pooler Walmart, 160 Pooler Parkway, and the Savannah Walmart, 6000 Ogeechee Road.

(LOWES) Lowe’s has announced that they are opening up another round of grant applications on Aug 31st. Grants of $20,000 will be made available to small business owners to help meet their most immediate needs. They are primarily focused on historically underserved communities, especially those enterprises owned or led by minorities and women.

HEALTHY SAVANNAH JOINS CITY OF SAVANNAH REAL TASK FORCE
(HEALTHY SAVANNAH) Healthy Savannah has joined the City of Savannah’s Racial Equity and Leadership (REAL) Task Force. Mayor Van Johnson announced the formation of the initiative in July, to investigate disparities in Savannah and use data to identify, prioritize and tackle inequities. The REAL Task Force is led by Healthy Savannah founder and former mayor, Dr. Otis Johnson. Healthy Savannah’s Board Chair-Elect, Lillian Grant-Baptiste, and Healthy Savannah/REACH Executive Director Paula Kriessler will serve among the task force members, many of whom have worked closely with Healthy Savannah/REACH.
