FIVE LOCAL GARDENS TO RECEIVE $1500 EACH FROM CENTER PARC CREDIT UNION (SAVANNAH, GA) Center Parc Credit Union is donating $7,500 to five Savannah area community gardens with each to receive a contribution of $1,500. The recipients are the Garden City Homestead Association, Employability, Coastal Heritage Society (Frogtown) Garden, West Broad Street YMCA and Morningstar Arts Creative Garden. CENTER PARC CREDIT UNION SIGNS STADIUM NAMING-RIGHTS DEAL(ATLANTA, GA) The stadium formerly known as Turner Field is getting a new name. Georgia State University has signed a stadium naming-rights deal with Center Parc Credit Union. GSU, a Sun Belt Conference school, has agreed to a 15-year deal worth $21.5 million with the organization that operates under Atlanta Postal Credit Union, making it one of the richest naming rights deals outside of Power Five conferences, according to Sports Business Journal. Center Parc Credit Union plans to open two Chatham County locations in September at the Pooler Walmart, 160 Pooler Parkway, and the Savannah Walmart, 6000 Ogeechee Road.

(PARK PLACE OUTREACH) Coastal States Bank recently made a contribution of $5,000 to the local non-profit Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter, through its initiative, the “Coastal States Community Commitment”. Serving Savannah since 1984, Park Place Outreach offers residential, prevention, outreach, and family preservation services for homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth, ages 11-21, through a variety of shelter and enrichment programs. The organization has helped over 6500 youth find housing stability and family security.

(LOWES) Lowe’s has announced that they are opening up another round of grant applications on Aug 31st. Grants of $20,000 will be made available to small business owners to help meet their most immediate needs. ROTARY CLUB OF SAVANNAH CONTRIBUTES 20K TO UNITED WAY OF THE COASTAL EMPIRE
(SAVANNAH, GA) The Rotary Club of Savannah has contributed $20,000 to the United Way of the Coastal Empire’s COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund. Since meeting virtually during the pandemic, the club found themselves with unspent money in the budget and decided to support the community with those dollars.
