COMMUNITY HEADLINES – DECEMBER 5, 2022

NATIONAL INFLUENZA VACCINATION WEEK BEGINS DEC 5

(SAVANNAH, GA) National Influenza Vaccination Week begins December 5. It is an annual observance created in 2005 to encourage everyone over the age of six months to consider receiving the vaccine to protect against the flu. Annual vaccinations are proven to reduce the risk of contracting the flu and hospitalization. Vaccinations are especially important this year, as the flu infection rate in the United States is high. To challenge misinformation and overcome hesitancy, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website to receive helpful resources about the flu and the vaccine.
