(SAVANNAH, GA) Savannah-based Colonial Group Inc. has announced a new era of leadership as it prepares to mark a major milestone in the company’s history in 2021. Christian B. Demere has been named chief executive officer, representing the fourth generation of family management in the company.

CENTER PARC CREDIT UNION SPONSORS HOMESTEAD HARVEST GIVEAWAY
(GARDEN CITY, GA) The Garden City Homestead Association’s community garden shared its third harvest with the community on Saturday, Jan. 30 in a program that included food demonstrations and education sessions. The Garden City public was invited to share in a winter vegetable harvest held at the garden, 4115 Second St. in Garden City. This is one of eight community gardens which has been awarded funding from Center Parc Credit Union within the past six months.
WALK & LEARN
(SAVANNAH, GA) Have you ever wanted to walk the Camino de Santiago? On Saturday, February 6 there will be a “Walk & Learn” session starting at noon at Lake Mayer, where experienced hikers will share their lessons learned from walking this 500-mile historic trail across Spain. The group will meet at the entrance of Lake Mayer by the statue and then walk the Truman Linear Trail to DeRenne and back to Lake Mayer. LOVE YOUR TRAIL DAY – MARCH 6
(SAVANNAH, GA) Truman Linear Park Trail Phase 2A is the Savannah area’s newest trail. Help keep it neat and tidy by joining others at 10 a.m. on March 6 to pick up litter, collect recycling, trim vegetation, and ensure the trail is in tiptop shape. All tools and supplies will be provided by Tide to Town. Volunteers will be spatially distanced, but masks are required. Meet at the Scarborough Sports Complex, located at the corner of Skidaway Road and Bona Bella Avenue.

IDEA ACCELERATOR BOOTCAMP FOR ENTREPRENEURS BEGINS
