Elizabeth Garcia
Public Relations Coordinator

Elizabeth Garcia started as a PR Coordinator for Carriage Trade this past spring. She comes on board with a vast knowledge of the Savannah media market and media in general. After working as a morning television anchor for a Beaumont, Texas station, she moved to Savannah in 2000 to work as a general assignments reporter at WTOC.  While there, Elizabeth won several broadcast awards including an Emmy award for her coverage of a downtown house fire.

After beginning her family with her husband, R.J. Garcia, a U.S. Army officer and Apache helicopter pilot, Elizabeth decided to move into another form of media and began writing for the Army Flier, a military publication based out of Fort Rucker, Alabama.

While there, several of Elizabeth’s stories and photographs were picked up and published by other national, military-based magazines and newspapers.

Though frequent Army moves keep her young family busy, Elizabeth still finds time to keep in close contact with the friends she has made in the media business. In her spare time she enjoys writing, photography and running. She recently completed her second 1/2 marathon run this fall in Kansas City.

Elizabeth, R.J., and her two children Grant, 4, and Ella, 2, are currently stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
