Enmark Stations Raises $1000 for Savannah Bicycle Campaign

(SAVANNAH, GA) Matching proceeds raised from John Bennett’s “5 Ways to Make Bicycling a Healthy Part of Your Daily Life”, the third of five lectures in the Enmark Encourage Health Education Series 2014, Enmark Stations raised $1000 for Savannah Bicycle Campaign, a nonprofit organization working to build a better Savannah through bicycling.

Enmark presented the check to John Bennett, Executive Director of the Savannah Bicycle Campaign at the forth Enmark Encourage Health Educational Lecture on Tuesday, August 26.

“Support of this kind is tremendously important as we seek to meet the needs of Savannah’s growing cycling population and harness the numerous and significant benefits that bicycling brings to our community," said Bennett, “The generous donation from Enmark will be used to continue and expand our efforts to encourage people to make bicycling a healthy part of their daily lives and to educate cyclists and drivers on best practices for safely sharing our streets.”

Enmark partnered with Healthy Savannah, the Savannah Morning News, Savannah Magazine, WJCL and GPB Savannah – WSVH 91.1/WWIO 89.9 to present this premier series of five wellness lectures benefiting local nonprofit organizations focused on wellness.

The Encourage Health Educational Series happens on the last Tuesday of the months of February, April, June, August and October. The series features presentations from the area’s most respected experts sharing insights on nutrition, fitness and general tips for healthy living. The next Encourage Health Education Lecture will be October 28 with Bert Tenenbaum, Corporate Director of Wellness at Reliance Steel & Aluminum, presenting “Corporation’s 5 Waypoints on their Journey to Wellness." The selected charity of Tenenbaum’s presentation is the YMCA of Coastal Georgia.

Lunch and Lecture Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door. Checks should be made payable to the benefiting charity for that particular lecture. Enmark will match all proceeds and will present a check to the designated charity at each of the lectures. For more information, visit http://myenmarkenjoy.com/Files/EncourageHealth
