Goodwill is Featured by Thrifty Fashionista

Visual Journalist, Jenna Isaacson, will be in Savannah to showcase “second hand” shopping and Goodwill.

(SAVANNAH, GA) Goodwill Industries International is being featured in a new book entitled “All Thrifty States: A Visual Journey through America’s Collective Closets.”

Jenna Isaacson, author and visual journalist, will make an appearance at the new Goodwill store, at 108 West Broughton Street, this Thursday morning at 10:30 AM. Her goal is to encourage people to lead a more “second hand” lifestyle, by donating gently used clothing, and shopping at thrift stores, like Goodwill.

Jenna’s book “All Thrifty States” looks into the significance of second-hand shopping, and how it can help consumers’ spending habits, plus be healthy for the environment.  She will be showcasing her book in 48 states, except Alaska and Hawaii.

The “All Thrifty States” journey will kick off in Washington DC, and end on April 30th.  Jenna will stop at Goodwill stores along the way.  At each destination, she hopes to make people more aware of the amazing things you can find by living a more second-hand lifestyle.  It’s a “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” approach to shopping at thrift stores.  Jenna has been a Goodwill shopper all her life.

This is the second time that Jenna has embarked on this journey.  Her first trip was in the summer of 2011.  Jenna has also made an appearance on the popular nationwide morning talk show “Good Morning America."
