Kara Exum Hired as Child Development Center Director at IOH Baptist Church

(SAVANNAH, GA) The Isle of Hope Baptist Church announces that Kara Exum has joined the organization as the new Child Development Center Director. Previously, Exum worked as a Mental Health Counselor in Augusta, GA. She has been hired as the previous director, Gayle Porter, has retired after 23 years of service.

Exum volunteered for Connections Church in Statesboro, GA for over two years. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Child and Family Development with an emphasis on family services.

Established in October 1991, the IOH Baptist Church offers child care services and pre-school for children six weeks through four years of age. Also, the IOH Baptist Church offers an After School Care Program for ages Kindergarten through 4th grade and a Summer camp for Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade. By nurturing children in a safe, loving, Christian manner, the program strives to teach good manners, honesty, establish responsibility and self-esteem, and a desire for learning that will carry each child through life.
