SAVANNAH, Ga. (Nov. 20, 2025) – The Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society (LDSS) held its annual Thanksgiving potluck on Thursday evening, bringing together member families and supporters for a warm and joyful celebration of community. The long-standing tradition featured turkey, ham, beverages and paper goods provided by LDSS, while guests contributed an array of homemade side dishes and desserts.

Hosted at Connexion Church on Skidaway Road, the gathering offered families an opportunity to reflect on their blessings, share a meal, and enjoy fellowship ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
“As we gather around the table, we’re reminded of how much we’ve accomplished together as a community,” said Candy Bogardus, president of the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society. “We have many blessings to be thankful for, especially the friendships, advocacy, and shared purpose that unite us throughout the year.”
The annual potluck continues to be one of LDSS’s most cherished events, celebrating connection, gratitude, and the strength of the families it serves.
