EmployAbility Contributes to Partnership Success

(SAVANNAH, GA) NLaws Produce at Home recently launched a partnership with St. Joseph’s/Candler to deliver fresh groceries to health system co-workers in a convenient manner.

Co-workers can log in with their badge numbers on NLaws at Home’s website to customize weekly orders of food items. The local grocery delivers the orders to both hospital campuses every Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m.

“These days people want convenience and ease,” said Steve Kaplan, co-owner of NLaws Produce. “We are trying to provide that for our customers with this new service. Order online, deduct from your payroll and deliver the product to you.”

EmployAbility, a local non-profit that is focused on workforce development and community integration for adults with developmental disabilities, has partnered with NLaws at Home to make delivery packaging easier. Each week, six individuals from EmployAbility organize the bulk delivery that arrives at NLaws from NLaws Wholesale to individualize the orders for St. Joseph’s/Candler.

“Our first week’s order had 20 total deliveries,” said Kaplan. “There are roughly 4,200 employees in the health system, and my goal is to eventually deliver healthier and fresher grocery items to at least 30 percent of these people.”

Unlike other grocery delivery options, NLaws at Home allows buyers to choose from more than 350 products of fresh food to customize their orders. Items are then transported on a temperature-controlled truck to businesses and homes.

NLaws at Home has longstanding partnerships with local businesses that include River Street Sweets, Smith Brothers, Savannah Bee Company and Blends (A Coffee Boutique).
