Pack the Park for Park Place Outreach

Savannah Sand Gnats’ Pack the Park Game on August 6 to Benefit Park Place Outreach – Youth Emergency Shelter

(SAVANNAH, GA) The community is invited to attend Pack the Park for Park Place Outreach – Youth Emergency Shelter during the Savannah Sand Gnats game on August 6 at 7:05 p.m. at Grayson Stadium. Tickets for the event, which is being underwritten by the Savannah Bank, are available on game day at the stadium and cost $7 each. The Sand Gnats will donate $1 to Park Place Outreach for every ticket sold at the stadium that day.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for members of the community to enjoy a day at the ballpark and support our efforts to help youth in crisis,” said Park Place Outreach President Linda Hilts.” We participated in the event for the last two years, and it was a big success both times. We look forward to packing the park again this year, cheering on the Sand Gnats and raising much-needed funds for Park Place Outreach.”

During the game, Park Place Outreach volunteers will be on hand to distribute magnets to the first 1,000 fans who enter the stadium. In addition, Park Place Outreach Board President Jack Levine will throw out the honorary first pitch, and a special Park Place Outreach guest will sing the National Anthem.

“We are extremely grateful to the Savannah Bank, who has served as our underwriting partner for the past three years, along with the Savannah Sand Gnats, WSAV and the Rotary Club of Metro Savannah for making this event possible,” Hilts said. “We can’t wait to see everyone at the ballpark on August 6.”
