Park Place Outreach Partners with Olde Pink House for Valentines Day Cooking Class

Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter Partnering with Olde Pink House Offers Valentines Day Cooking Class
(SAVANNAH, GA) Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter, Inc. has teamed up with Olde Pink House to offer monthly cooking classes. For February, one of Pink House’s expert chefs will conduct the culinary course from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 14. The session is held for residents of Park Place Outreach, but is also open to guests who want to support the shelter.
The program was the brainchild of Pink House General Manager, Craig Jeffress, after meeting with two residents of PPO who worked in restaurants. Jeffress took a tour of the shelter and was impressed by what he had observed. He decided he wanted to do more for the organization than the traditional gift certificates for auction items. This fun, instructional program of hands-on involvement was the result.
Park Place Outreach is the only facility in Savannah and Chatham County that serves youth age 11 to 17, who are going through a stressful period at home or who are victims of physical and/or mental abuse.
The cost to participate in the cooking class is $125 per person, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit PPO. To RSVP for Valentines Day, visit http://parkplaceyes.org
