“Antique Furniture: Period or Question Mark?”
Amanda Everard
Antique Furniture can be tricky for the novice collector. Many fakes and “enhanced” pieces exist in the antique marketplace. Learn simple, common sense ways to look at a piece of furniture and determine whether it has age, may be a fake or has been significantly altered. Amanda Everard is President of Everard & Company, an auction and appraisal company in Savannah. Formerly she was Vice President of the English Furniture Department at Sotheby’s in New York City where she worked for 11 years. Proceeds will benefit Telfair Museum of Art.
