Savannah Friends of Music Opens Enrollment for Grant Applications

(SAVANNAH, GA) The Savannah Friends of Music organization announces that grant applications are now being accepted until Wednesday, April 15. These grants are meant to help fund programs that fulfill their mission, which is to support, sponsor and promote music programs and musical education in the greater Savannah area.
Over the past year, Savannah Friends of Music gave $71,000 in grants. For the past 12 years, Savannah Friends of Music has raised and given over $600,000 in grants. Past recipients include the Armstrong Atlantic Youth Orchestra, the Savannah Philharmonic, VOICExperience, Savannah Children’s Choir and Savannah Arts Academy. 
 
Eligible programs can be either a one-time event or an ongoing series."Non-profit 501c3 organization and student summer scholarship funding is also offered," said Mr. Raymond Patricio, President of the Savannah
Friends of Music, “The sole focus of the grant should be to enhance music education through classical music.”
Applications must be completed and submitted by Wednesday, April 15.  Recipients will be named shortly thereafter. Organizations or students who are interested in applying for a grant are asked to visit www.savannahfriendsofmusic.com

Savannah Friends of Music (SFOM) is a non-profit 501c3 organizaton whose mission is to support, sponsor, and promote classical music programs and music education in the greater savannah area.
