(Savannah, GA) 2007 Diane Warhman Torch Awards Announced Thursday Sept 20 — Herman Cain — Speaker

The Better Business Bureau Southeast Atlantic announced today that the selection process for the 2007 Diane Wahrman Torch Awards is complete and the awards will be announced this Thursday.

About Diane Warhman:Dianne Wahrman served the Better Business Bureau for 49 years, from its inception in 1956, until she passed away in 2005.  For 50 years, this delightful lady, and her husband Lee, were in business on MLK Blvd in Savannah with Lee Furniture.  She was known as a role model for business women today for her strong standing in the community as a woman in business—in a time when few women were leaders in our community.  Dianne and her husband, Lee, were instrumental in the founding of the Better Business Bureau and she served for many years as President of the board, later she served as chairman and the last two years she was Chairman Emeritus of the Better Business Bureau Board of Directors.

The award ceremony features Herman Cain as its keynote speaker. Herman Cain has a unique personality and multi-dimensional background in business, politics and life. Herman Cain is an accomplished speaker and writer on the subjects of leadership, motivation, national and economic policy, politics, and achieving one’s USAmerican Dream. He’s done it.

The meeting is open to the public and admission is $25 at the door.  The Armstrong Center is located on Abercorn Street in the old publix shopping center. Call 354-7523 for directions and details.
