Park Place Outreach, Inc. is announcing its Board of Directors for 2009. The group, made up of 15 individuals, will make decisions regarding the well being of the runaway shelter, including finances, new board members and much more. The board president will remain Bob Egan, with Marilyn Overton serving as Vice President, D. Paine Bacon as Treasurer and Vernell Small as Secretary.
 
Other board members include Queen E. Bing, Melissa Bouchillon, Lemuel Campbell, Cathy B. Hall, Jack Hart, Michelle B. Hetager, Thomas Mahoney, Jr., Betsy Taylor, Muchael M. Taylor and Linda Hilts Lamas, who is the shelter’s Executive Director.

In 2009 Park Place Outreach will celebrate 25 years of service in the local community. The milestone will be celebrated throughout 2009 with a large event planned for the fall.
 
Park Place Outreach provides emergency shelter and street outreach for adolescents ages 11 through 17 and their families. It is the only agency located within Chatham County that serves youth at no charge who are accepted without a referral to receive help. Park Place Outreach opened in 1984.
