"We are honored to help local Savannah charities such as Senior Citizens Incorporated," stated Chef Matt Cohen, owner of The New South Cafe. Come learn the secrets of award-winning culinary expert Chef Matt Cohen and enjoy a delicious gourmet meal—while supporting a great local cause which improves the quality of life and assists in the over all wellbeing and independent living of senior citizens throughout the coastal empire. Senior Citizens, Inc. provides much needed services to the senior citizens of Savannah and their families. One out of every three seniors in Chatham County received care from Senior Citizens, Inc. last year. Services include adult day care for seniors with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, door through door transportation, in-home support which includes assistance with chores and personal grooming, Meals on Wheels, Senior Companions and community centers offering educational and recreational activities.
