They brought the idea of this special space for families to MUMC following the death of their daughter, Jennifer, at MUMC on January 1, 2006. The Family Respite Care Center is a comfortable, private, and safe respite center where family members of trauma victims and critically ill patients can cope, rest overnight, and care for themselves while dealing with the impact of a serious event.
