(RICHMOND HILL, GA) The hail that battered roofs in Southeast Georgia recently did more than just damage shingles and gutters. It left homeowners vulnerable to scam artists who prey upon people who want their roofs repaired quickly and cheaply. To avoid scams, the Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Georgia encourages customers to ask for referrals, hire local contractors when possible, get written estimates, and obtain and check references, among other tips. Before selecting a roofer to repair hail damage, homeowners should consider trusted local roofing professionals such as RPI, which serves residential, commercial and industrial clients in Southeast Georgia and South Carolina.
