(SAVANNAH, GA) Dr. Ben Spitalnick was presented the President’s Award at the 2013 Night of Champions by the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society (LDSS) on May 9. "Dr. Ben" as he is known locally, is managing partner of Pediatric Associates of Savannah and currently serves as Representative for the Savannah area to the American Academy of Pediatrics. (SAVANNAH, GA) Nearly 50 area business owners learned the ins and outs of healthcare reform during a seminar sponsored by Bernard Williams Insurance and Financial Services, SunTrust Bank and Deemer Dana & Froehle. The seminar featured an introduction by Ralph O. "Rob" Bowden, IV, vice president in charge of the Benefits Division at Bernard Williams, and a keynote address by David Smith, the company’s benefits partner from North Carolina. (SAVANNAH, GA) The Yuletide Jam team announced that their 2012 music event in memory of Patrick Williams raised a total of $20,000 for the Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. The grant will be presented on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 9:00 am at Tubby’s Tankhouse in Thunderbolt. These funds will provide 100,000 meals to those in our community who go hungry without the help of our regional food banks. Yuletide Jam was started by Stewart Marshall and Thomas Barrow in 2008 to help raise money for Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.
