Foody Tour Savannah is pleased to announce that Savannah Bee Company Honey House is the latest stop on its culinary tour of the city. Foody Tour patrons are treated to a sampling of five different honeys, as well as a delectable plate of honeycomb, cheese, apples and berries.

The Savannah Bee Company, which opened its flagship store on Broughton Street in October, has been producing Savannah-made honey for the past decade. Ron Higgins, founder and CEO of Savannah Movie Tours, Inc., the parent company of Foody Tour Savannah, was eager to add the locally owned business to his popular tour.

"I’m thrilled to introduce my patrons to the Savannah Bee Company," Higgins says. "What an awesome way to taste honey, the only food in the world that doesn’t spoil."

Savannah Bee Company beekeeper Clay Culver is pleased to have pCarriage Trade – Administration [Joomla]atrons of the Foody Tour visit the store. "I feel like the Honey House is the perfect treat to add onto what is already a great tour for the city of Savannah," he says.

Foody Tour Savannah was launched in 2007 and has become one of the city’s most popular tours. During the Foody Tour, patrons sample dishes at some of Savannah’s most delicious eateries while learning about the South’s rich culinary history on a climate-controlled, luxury tour bus equipped with state-of-the-art LCD screens.

Other stops on the Foody Tour may include The Lady and Sons, Harris Baking Company, Mom and Nikki’s, Wright Square Café, Angel’s BBQ, Back in the Day Bakery and Leopold’s Ice Cream, among others.

The Foody Tour departs at 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday from the Savannah Visitor Information Center at 301 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Restaurant and food offerings may vary.
