(SAVANNAH, GA) Georgia Football Coach Vince Dooley will be the Guest Speaker at Sunday Brunch Fund

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(SAVANNAH, GA) Legendary University of Georgia Football Coach Vince
  Dooley
will be the Guest Speaker at Sunday Brunch Fundraiser for the
Fourth Annual Savannah Book Festival, Sunday, February 20, 2011

The 2011 Savannah Book Festival welcomes former University of Georgia
athletic director and football coach, Vince Dooley, as their Sunday
Brunch speaker. Dooley will be discussing his newest book,
“Vince Dooley’s Garden – The Horticultural Journey
  of a Football Coach
” on Sunday, February 20th, 2011 at 11:00am
to 1:00pm in the Chatham Club on the 14th floor at the Desoto Hilton
Hotel, 15 East Liberty Street, Savannah, GA.

“Vince Dooley’s Garden – The Horticultural Journey
of a Football Coach” is a 160-page personal journal illustrated
by renowned Georgia artist Steve Penley. In his book, both a diary and
travelogue of sorts, Dooley displays the same enthusiasm and
dedication to the horticultural field as he did in his 25-year-plus
  coaching career.

Football fans and plant enthusiasts alike will enjoy this very open
and personal story by one of Georgia’s greatest sports figures,
while Penley’s pen-and-ink illustrations bring to life the
gardens and plants around the world that have so inspired Dooley.
Together, the words and pictures are a visible depiction of how the
former coach has combined his taste for impressionist art with his
  love of gardens.

Whether reading or simply flipping through the pictures, even the most
rabid Bulldog enthusiasts may find themselves catching Dooley’s
horticultural bug – a devotion that no amount of bad weather
can hold back, according to the author. “It never rains on the
practice field or in the garden,” Dooley writes.

Savannah Book Festival will take place during President’s Day
weekend, February 18-20, 2011. Now in its fourth year,
Georgia’s literary event of the year remains free for all to
  attend. Visit www.savannahbookfestival.org and www.visitsavannah.com
