(SAVANNAH, GA) Savannah Mall held the new Second Saturday of the Month Celebration, featuring home grown retailers and local talent. The event featured local entertainment from The Perry Brothers and Savannah Steve in Center Court.

“Our one-of-a-kind, locally owned and operated retailers set us apart from other shopping centers in Savannah and we want to honor their uniqueness,” said Savannah Mall Marketing Manager Becky Orsi. “Our shops are 49 percent owned by individuals who live in the Savannah community and have a vested interest in the area’s future.”

G.E. Perry of The Perry Brothers was born in Albany Ga. but grew up in Savannah, Ga. He has been in the music scene since 1965, and has shared the stage with plays like Leon Tinsley Ellis, Leon Russell, Ted Nugent, Sam the Sham, Dru Lombar, The Kingston Trio, The Platters, The Coasters, Indie Arie, Mike Pinero, Mark Chestnut, Lonestar and Shelley Wright.

Savannah Steve is a talented musician, having performed keyboards, guitar and vocals with several professional bands in the New York tri-state region since 1976. Around 1990, Stephen decided he’d had enough of New York and came down south. Now, after 20 years of dedicated service, Savannah Steve has become known for his breezy live renditions of Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley, Beach Boys and Sinatra.

Second Saturday will continue every month. For more information, visit www.savannahmall.com.
