The event honors the memory of Detective Curt Holland and is hosted in partnership between the Commerce City Police Department and the Quality Community Foundation. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Curt Holland Memorial Scholarship program, which provides post-secondary scholarships for Commerce City high school graduates.

“This year’s Curt Holland Memorial Golf Tournament was the most impactful year yet, raising a record of over $82,000 for youth scholarships,” said Melissa Sumner, an organizer of the event. “The success of this year’s tournament ensures that life-changing resources will continue to be available for students striving toward higher education. We are honored to partner with Commerce City Police Department and the Holland family each year to keep Curt’s legacy alive through a day of giving and friendship.”
Shamrock+ President Ryan Murphy, who was a friend of Curt Holland, was in attendance at the tournament. Murphy has participated in the event for several years, honoring his friend’s legacy and supporting the scholarship program. “Curt was my best friend since college and the best man at my wedding,” said Murphy. “I’m honored to participate to support this cause, Curt’s family, and the community. Curt was someone who gave us all something to smile about, and we’re all just doing our part to continue that legacy. The tournament day is full of stories, laughter, and celebrating Curt’s legacy of service.”
