The Savannah Jaycees Announce Mayor Edna Jackson to Speak at Leadership NOW Lecture on Tuesday, December 2

(SAVANNAH, GA) Mayor Edna Jackson will be the final speaker in the 2014 Leadership NOW Lecture Series on Tuesday, December 2 at 
the Savannah Jaycees office, located at 101 Atlas Street. Open networking begins at 5:30 and they program will run from 6-7 p.m.

Leadership NOW is a lecture series focused on leadership, management, and professional skills. The series aligns with the Savannah Jaycees mission statement: to inspire leadership growth through community involvement.

“We began this lecture series to provide an opportunity for young professionals to learn skills that they can apply to their work life, family life, and volunteer life. Our community is filled with leaders that are more than willing to give us advice and the key to their success,” said current president, Sarah Westberry.

The Savannah Jaycees invites the media and professionals ages 21 to 40 to attend the meeting on Tuesday, December 2. Guests will have the opportunity to ask Mayor Jackson questions about her successes and professional journey.

“Mayor Jackson was confirmed to speak at our Leadership NOW series in February,” said Randi Hempel, who will serve as the Savannah Jaycees President in 2015, “We decided to have her wrap up the series for 2014 to inspire our young professionals before the new year begins.”
