(SAVANNAH, Ga.) The members of the American Institute of Architects Georgia (AIA Georgia) have re-elected Ryan Murphy AIA, president and co-founder of Shamrock+, to serve as an At-Large Director on its Board of Directors.
AIA Georgia represents architects and allied professionals throughout the state. The board oversees strategic planning, financial review, statewide programs, and coordination with local chapters. At-Large Directors are selected to support these efforts by offering broad representation across regions and practice areas.

Murphy is a licensed architect with more than 17 years of experience in private practice, federal service, and digital documentation for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Murphy has been active in AIA Georgia for several years and previously served on the board. His work has included support for the Citizen Architect Matching and Placement System (CAMPS), which connects architects with civic and community opportunities across the state. He has also assisted with programs focused on early-career development and leadership training.
His background includes the Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program and a 2023 recipient of the AIA National Young Architects Award, recognizing only 20 members nationally, for contributions to practice, leadership, and community involvement.
As president of Shamrock+, Murphy leads a team that provides 3D scanning, drone imaging, virtual tours, and other reality-capture services. These tools support accurate measurement, documentation, and planning for design and construction teams. Murphy will bring this experience to his work with AIA Georgia, contributing to discussions on technology, documentation standards, and planning needs across the state.
“Ryan has been a consistent and engaged leader within AIA Georgia,” said David Southerland, Executive Director of AIA Georgia. “His experience in architectural practice and reality-capture technology brings valuable insight to the board, particularly as more firms realize the potential business opportunities in the adaptive reuse of older buildings. We look forward to his continued service and the perspective he brings to statewide initiatives.”
Murphy’s term will run through the end of 2027. During this period, he will support programs that help architects strengthen their work, take part in state-level planning, continue efforts to expand CAMPS, and support programs that serve members at all career stages.
Murphy said he looks forward to continuing his service with AIA Georgia and supporting statewide efforts that help architects strengthen their work and public impact.
