2014/2015 New Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society President and Officers

(SAVANNAH, GA) Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society (LDSS) is happy to announce Joe Marchese as the new President of the LDSS. Marchese is very familiar with LDSS and its mission in our community. He is a founding member of LDSS has been a member of the board since it’s inception in 2006.

Marchese is the President and Owner of Marchese Construction and the Director of Sustainable Initiatives. As an Accredited Professional in the United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Program, Marchese has over seventeen years of experience in the construction industry.

Marchese replaces Candy Bogardus, as President of the LDSS Board of Directors. Bogardus will continue to serve LDSS as Immediate Past President.

The 2014-2015 Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society Officers consists of: Allyson Harvin, Vice President; Brian Hussey, Treasurer; Traci Shreck, Secretary.

LDSS also welcomes Harris Martin, newly elected Board of Director Member, and Attorney with Bouhan Falligant LLP. The 2014-2015 LDSS Board of Directors consist of: John Bogardus, Jamie Deen, Wendy Fears, Allyson Harvin, Brian Hussey, Harris Martin, Joe Marchese, Kristin Nyce, Kevin Sheehan and Dr. Ben Spitalnick.

ABOUT THE LOWCOUNTRY DOWN SYNDROME SOCIETY: 
The Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society (LDSS) is a support group to benefit people with Down Syndrome and their families through local leadership in support, outreach, education and advocacy. Meetings are held every 4th Tuesday of the month, typically with a guest speaker and social time for families to meet and interact with one another. LDSS encourage people to bring their children.
