(SAVANNAH, GA) Center Parc Credit Union and the Savannah Urban Garden Alliance (SUGA) have partnered with six Savannah elementary schools to create a recipe cookbook documenting the students’ first vegetable garden.

The project kicks off on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at noon at Butler Elementary School, 1909 Cynthia St., with an announcement from the participating schools, SUGA, and Center Parc discussing the process of putting the cookbook together.

Hire Dynamics Celebrates 20 Years, Putting Over 625 People to work Each Day in Savannah

(SAVANNAH, GA) Hire Dynamics, a staffing company with offices in Savannah and across the Southeast, is celebrating 20 years of putting people to work.

“Here in Savannah, we put over 625 people to work a day and aim to fill more than 150 positions in manufacturing, contact centers, office support and e-commerce/logistics at warehouses and distribution centers,” Savannah Regional Manager Lori Pitt said. “We are adept in helping people reenter the workforce, even during a global pandemic.”

Hallelujah Fest: Raising Our Voices Against COVID

(SAVANNAH, GA) Healthy Savannah and the YMCA of Coastal Georgia are partnering with historically Black churches across the Savannah area to help raise awareness of the COVID-19 and flu vaccines.

“It’s vitally important that people have access to the vaccine, and to straight answers to their questions about COVID-19,” said Nichele Hoskins, communication manager at Healthy Savannah. “By partnering with several faith-based communities, Healthy Savannah continues to help get information and vaccine to Black and Hispanic people who continue to be hard hit by the virus.”

Community events to be held in October and November include a cooking class, a food festival, and community concerts. They share the common theme of helping bring people together safely to celebrate, remember, dispel myths, and express solidarity and hope during the coronavirus pandemic.
