SIX SCHOLARSHIPS

(SAVANNAH, GA) The Savannah 100 Foundation has awarded its prestigious Judge Eugene H. Gadsden Memorial Scholarships to six outstanding Savannah-area students. Selected on the basis of academic achievement and community leadership and service, each Gadsden scholarship recipient aims to become a lawyer, embodying the legal acumen and civic leadership of Judge Gadsden (1912-2000), Savannah’s first African-American judge, who was a mentor to numerous attorneys. The recipients are Mecca R. Aikens, Jenifer Contreras Gabriel, Madison Y.G. Orr, Jennifer S. Primatic, Nykobe G. Richardson and Alexis B. Williamson.
