(SAVANNAH, GA) Natalie Hendrix, host of WSAV’s The Southern Scene, was one of the winners of the CarMax Road Rally on May 16, earning $2,000 for Park Place Outreach-Youth Emergency Shelter. The event, in which participants earned money for their designated charities by competing in a series of events, was held in conjunction with the grand opening of the Savannah CarMax, located at 8989 Abercorn St.
During the event, Hendrix and other local television personalities competed in a series of events including a parallel parking competition and ‘pack the trunk’ contest. Each participant received $1,000 for his or her respective charity; Hendrix’s win earned her an extra $1,000 for Park Place Outreach.
“We’re delighted that Natalie designated Park Place Outreach as her charity,” said Linda Hilts, the organization’s executive director.” Natalie has been a big supporter of Park Place Outreach, and CarMax’s generous donation on her behalf will go a long way to helping us provide services for youth in need.”
