Veteran HR leader and certified coach expands reach of CG Coaching and Consulting LLC with new marketing launch
SAVANNAH, Ga., Aug. 20, 2025
With more than three decades of experience guiding leaders, teams and organizations through growth and change, Cathy Girardeau, ACC, today announced the expanded launch of CG Coaching and Consulting LLC. The Savannah-based firm, founded in 2022, is being introduced more broadly through a new marketing initiative designed to share its mission and services with a wider audience.
Girardeau, an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach, brings extensive human resources leadership experience spanning higher education, manufacturing and corporate environments, including Gulfstream Aerospace, South University and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her practice offers leadership development, career transition coaching and organizational culture transformation.
“Over the years, I’ve seen workplaces evolve from typewriters to virtual meeting rooms,” Girardeau said. “What hasn’t changed is the need for genuine human connection. My coaching helps clients align purpose with action so they, and their teams, can thrive in fast-paced, complex environments.”
Community leadership and peacebuilding
In addition to her coaching work, Girardeau serves as public image chair for the Rotary Peacebuilders of Savannah, helping elevate local peacebuilding initiatives and community partnerships. She also serves as secretary of the Rotary Intercountry Committee (ICC) for Georgia-Serbia, advancing cross-border understanding and service collaboration. “Rotary’s commitment to peace and goodwill aligns closely with my coaching philosophy,” she said. “Whether in a boardroom or across borders, we make the most progress when we listen well, build trust and act with integrity.”
Deep roots in Savannah
Originally from the Chicago area, Girardeau studied fine art and higher education at the University of Illinois and Southern Illinois University before relocating to Savannah in 1990. She and her husband raised two children here and are proud grandparents of two, with the whole family still in Savannah.
Outside of work, Girardeau has been active in local choirs, community organizations and the running community, completing several half marathons and one full marathon. She also enjoys watercolor painting and spending time with her four cats.
“Savannah is where I’ve built my life, both personally and professionally,” she said. “I’m proud to bring all of those experiences into the work I do with leaders and organizations.”
