Melanie Smith

Born and raised in Shepherdsville, KY, Melanie Smith left the bluegrass for the golden arch of St. Louis, MO, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting from Webster University.  She moved to Savannah, GA in 1997 for her first post-collegiate job in television where she worked for two years.

Deciding broadcast news didn’t quite fit her personality, Melanie quickly found her place in public relations and marketing.  In 2003, she rejoined the classroom setting, earning a Master’s Degree in Business from Webster University in Beaufort, SC.

Melanie’s varied resume includes radio disc jockeying, planning Harry Potter book release parties, interning in Washington DC for London Radio, and traveling (a.k.a. studying) in Europe.
