In his new position, Dyer will establish a sales department with the long-term goal of opening satellite offices outside the 100-mile radius currently served by APEX.

“It is a great pleasure to be able to join such a successful, ethical, and well-operated company,” Dyer says. “It makes it even easier for me to proudly present our service/product offerings.”

Dyer is a graduate of Auburn University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration. Upon graduation, he served as an officer in the United States Air Force. Dyer received the Air Force Commendation Medal for his service, and under his supervision as commissary officer, the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base Commissary was named United States Air Force Commissary of the Year.

In 1995, Dyer was named Checkers Outstanding New Franchisee and was later named Checkers Multi-Unit Operator of the Year. He was awarded the national Dorsey Marketing Award for marketing excellence and the Checkers Communicator of the Year Award. He served for many years on the Checkers’ Franchise Advisory Council, including one term as president of the council.

Prior to his affiliation with Checkers, Dyer worked as supervisor and director of training and personnel for a North Carolina McDonald’s franchisee; held numerous positions with Taco Bell Corp, including a headquarters staff position; invested in Stone Cold Creamery as a silent partner; and served as startup operations partner for a Bojangles’ franchise.
