Wednesdays, April 11th, 18th, and 25th from noon to 1 pm at 503 Greene Street (City Hall) in the Commission chambers. Lunch will be provided.

(AUGUSTA, GA) The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that on average there were 209,900 people employed in the Augusta MSA in 2011, up from the initial estimate of 208,167 – over 1,700 jobs that had not previously been counted. The new figures show employment slowly increasing from 209,200 in 2010 but the increase is spread over a wide range of industries including: manufacturing, trade transportation and utilities, retail, professional and business services, education and health services, leisure and hospitality, other services, and state government.

(AUGUSTA, GA) Artspace, a non-profit developer for affordable live/work, multi-use, and other arts facility developments, will be coming to Augusta for a 2-day feasibility visit.  This 2-day visit (April 25-26) will include a number of small focus groups and site visits, as well as a public meeting on the evening of the 25th. (AUGUSTA, GA) Membership numbers at the newly-opened Kroc Center exceed 5,000, with an extraordinary mix of onsite programs to suit all ages and a strategic community outreach to the Harrisburg neighborhood.
