(AUGUSTA, GA) Mayor Deke Copenhaver is calling upon all non-profits in the city to register for Georgia Gives Day:a statewide campaign encouraging the citizens of Georgia to give to their non-profit of choice on December 6th, 2012. During this 24-hour flash giving event, citizens across the state can "Click If You Care" by donating any dollar amount (minimum $1) to charities right in their own neighborhood (state-registered a 501©(3) nonprofit organizations). All proceeds will go directly to the nonprofits. Donors go through the website  www.GAgivesday.org.

The American Institute of Architects’ Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) convened in Augusta June 2012 to develop a sustainability program for Laney Walker/Bethlehem.
