The Augusta Housing Department is slated to close on the sale of two new homes on Pine Street this week, bringing the total build-out of this portion of the Heritage Pine to over fifty percent.

The Board of the Augusta Housing Authority has approved development of a mixed-income affordable housing project in the Twiggs Circle priority area. Once construction begins, the activity will mark new development in the fifth of  six key priority development areas for Laney Walker/Bethlehem.

The Laney Walker/Bethlehem Revitalization Effort has been selected as a showcase example of urban planning and implementation, to be presented at the American Planning Association’s annual conference, taking place this coming April in Los Angeles.
