(SAVANNAH, GA)  Kathleen Horne of Bouhan Falligant, LLP, has been named one of the “Top 50 Women Attorneys” in the State of Georgia by Atlanta magazine. The March 2013 edition highlights the state’s best female lawyers.
Well known for her extensive work in the areas of creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, Horne was selected from thousands of female attorneys in the state.

“My primary concern is always to represent my clients to the best of my ability,” Horne said. “Awards such as this one are gratifying. It’s wonderful when your peers and clients recognize the quality of the services you provide.”

Horne has previously been named one of the Top 50 Women Attorneys in the State of Georgia by Atlanta magazine and been named a Georgia Super Lawyer. She has been awarded the Georgia Association of Lawyers Achievement Award and the Business and Professional Women’s Club Women of Achievement. The Savannah Bar Association awarded her the Judge Frank Cheatham Professional Award. She practices primarily in the areas of creditors rights and bankruptcy and is a frequent lecturer on these topics. Named a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy, Horne is past President of both the Savannah Bar Association and the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Georgia. She is a former member of the State Board of Bar Examiners, the Formal Advisory Opinion Board of the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar Investigative Panel. She has served as Secretary of the University of Georgia Law School Advisory Council and the Board of Directors of United Way. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Historic Savannah Foundation. Horne received her B.A. degree cum laude from the University of Georgia and J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Georgia.
