(SAVANNAH, GA-WTOC) Camping is all about the experience, and in Savannah this week, children with different abilities are having the time of their lives learning with their buddies. The camp, run by the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society, helps children with Down syndrome retain information they learned during the previous school year and gets them ready for the upcoming one. (SAVANNAH, GA) Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter, a support shelter for at-risk children and teens, will launch a guest dinner program in August to connect its residents with community leaders. HELPING THE HOMELESS ON THE SOUTHSIDE

(SAVANNAH, GA) The public is invited to a charity auction July 22 to help raise money for homeless people on the southside of Savannah. Even with more than 3,000 homeless people, few resources – if any – are available on the Southside.
