Chicken Salad Chick to Partner with Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society in October
New Savannah Restaurant to Donate 10% of Net Proceeds to LDSS every Monday in October

(SAVANNAH, GA) Chicken Salad Chick, Savannah’s newest, fast-casual restaurant concept, is excited to announce its local fundraising partnership with the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society. In coordination with the National Down Syndrome Awareness Month, Chicken Salad Chick will be raising awareness, and money, for the cause all month long. To participate, guests merely have to dine in at the new restaurant any Monday in October and Chicken Salad Chick will donate 10% of net proceeds to LDSS. The restaurant is at 7400 Abercorn St, Suite 512, Savannah, GA 31406.

The Savannah Chicken Salad Chick is owned by franchisees Tim and Kelly Paslawski, who are committed to giving back to the community that supports them. Their first endeavor in giving back is near and dear to their heart, choosing the LDSS because their close friend Lisa Chapman, has a daughter, Emily, who has down syndrome.

“Lisa and her family have been big-time supporters of Chicken Salad Chick,” said owner Tim Paslawski, “and when given the opportunity to impact something that directly affects their lives, we felt it was a great fit.”

Born In Alabama — The Chicken Salad Chick concept was established in Auburn, AL in 2008 in the kitchen of founder, Stacy Brown. Stacy quickly learned that selling a homemade recipe from her kitchen is against the law, and after being shut down by the health department, she decided to solicit the business expertise of her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown. Together, they opened a small takeout restaurant which quickly grew to enormous demand and additional locations. The unique concept puts an edgy twist on a southern classic by offering customers a “custom-fit” chicken salad experience, with 15 original flavors to choose from, as well as gourmet soups, flavorful side salads and freshly-baked desserts. Chicken Salad Chick has sold 85 franchises to be developed across the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and North Carolina & South Carolina, and has plans to expand nationally in the coming years.

The Midtown Savannah Chicken Salad Chick, located in the Savannah Centre is their first of two Savannah restaurants, as well as another future one in Hilton Head, SC.
