COASTAL EMPIRE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RAISES MORE THAN $112,000 DURING INAUGURAL GALA

(SAVANNAH, GA) Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity announces its inaugural “Home for the Holidays” Gala raised more than $112,000, thanks to friends, family, fans, and supporters. Taking place on Wednesday, December 7 at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront, the holiday gala served as the year’s largest fundraiser for the local nonprofit. Guests enjoyed dinner, drinks, live and silent auctions, dancing and much more. FRESH EXPRESS EXPANDS

(SAVANNAH, GA) The Fresh Express no-cost fresh food distribution program has expanded to a third permanent site. Located at the intersection of East 40th Street and Waters Avenue, the site provides food on the first Friday of each month. The two other locations — the Curtis V. Cooper Family Health at 106 E. Broad St., and the Moses Jackson Center at 1410 Richards St. — distribute on third Fridays. All begin at 9:30 a.m. on the day of distribution. The new site started as a pop-up location but was made permanent due to demand.

Tickets for the annual Dining in The Dark fundraiser went on sale Monday, and the Dining in the Dark chair says it’s going to be bigger and better than ever.
