(SAVANNAH,GA) Savannah Country Day School has partnered with the Rotary Club of Savannah to establish a campus Interact Club for students ages 12-18. Modeled as a junior Rotary, the Interact Club will focus on service projects within the Savannah community and a larger, global project each year.

CENTER PARC CREDIT UNION DONATES $1,500 TO URBAN GARDEN PROJECT
(SAVANNAH, GA) Center Parc Credit Union has donated $1,500 to Savannah’s Pennsylvania Avenue Resource Center (PARC) Garden. PARC is a City of Savannah neighborhood resource center committed to providing residents with greater access to nutritious foods in a valued educational and recreational space that contributes to the awareness of healthy eating practices.

(SAVANNAH, GA) Visitors to Savannah’s Lake Mayer Park will soon have a new place to get resources that promote better health and quality of life. The first of two “Healthy Hub” sites will be unveiled at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1.

(SAVANNAH, GA) Somi Benson-Jaja hosted the 2nd Annual Shots & Headshots with Shot by Somi Studios, benefiting United Way of the Coastal Empire. The event raised more than $1,900 for United Way of the Coastal Empire’s community fund.

(SAVANNAH, GA) SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence Services is inviting the community to participate in a virtual benefit concert featuring the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra. Set to premiere Wednesday, November 25 at 7:00 p.m., the organizers hope to raise funds needed to serve the growing number of victims of domestic violence in the Chatham County area due to the COVID pandemic.
NATIONAL RUNAWAY PREVENTION MONTH
(SAVANNAH, GA) November is National Runaway Prevention Month. With the pandemic only emphasizing the ongoing problem of youth homelessness in our community, Park Place and their partner agencies are raising awareness for runaway and homeless youth and providing resources and strategies for preventing youth from running away. Executive Director of Park Place Outreach spotlights resources available to support youth in crisis throughout the nation.

(SAVANNAH, GA) The City of Savannah will offer two free virtual business classes in December through The Entrepreneurial Center. On Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 12-1 p.m., “How to Write a Business Plan” will cover the steps necessary to write an effective business plan for use in the development, growth and financing of a business. On Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 12-1 p.m., “Financial Resources for Business” will be presented to help participants learn where their businesses can find financing for start-up and growth as well as how to prepare themselves and what lenders will require.
