(WTOC TV) The first phase of the Live Oak Landing apartments off Wheaton Street is slated to open later this year. This will be one of three new housing complexes to be constructed in the Savannah area which will provide 339 affordable apartments to seniors and families. Something that makes this project different, developer Bill Gross says he’s partnered with Healthy Savannah. What that means is, for those who live there, they’ll have an educational resource on site for how to get healthy. That will include activities, healthy cooking and how to shop healthy on a budget that they can afford.

(SAVANNAH, GA) The Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run is going virtual. The in-person event, which was scheduled for December 5, 2020, will now instead be held in a virtual format. Participants can run from anywhere. Those who sign up will receive a medal, bib, and official race shirt.

(SAVANNAH, GA) A fundraiser is being held on November 7th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Montgomery Athletic Association, 10155 Ferguson Ave 31406. Proceeds will benefit nine of the businesses destroyed in the Sandfly Five Oaks shopping center fire in September.

(SAVANNAH, GA) Savannah Country Day School has launched an $18 million capital campaign to upgrade campus facilities. The Invest in Excellence campaign’s initial phase includes the construction of a 32,000 sq. ft. flagship Upper School building to house math classrooms, science labs, an energy learning lab, and a fabrication/maker space.
