Enmark 2014 Encourage Health Series Raises Over $7000 for Savannah Charities

(SAVANNAH, GA) During the last year, Enmark Stations hosted the inaugural Encourage Health Education Series in partnership with Healthy Savannah, the Savannah Morning News, Savannah Magazine, WJCL and GPB Savannah – WSVH 91.1/WWIO 89.9 to present this premier series of five wellness lectures benefiting local nonprofit organizations focused on wellness. In total, the series raised $7,200 for Savannah area 501©(3) associations.

The Encourage Health Education Series took place on the last Tuesday of the months of February, April, June, August and October. The series featured presentations from the area’s most respected experts sharing insights on nutrition, fitness and general tips for healthy living. Speakers included: Peter Brodhead, owner of Brighter Day Natural Foods in Savannah; Paula Kreissler, Director of Healthy Living & Community Development Healthy Savannah and YMCA of Coastal Georgia; John Bennett, Executive Director of the Savannah Bicycle Campaign; Kerri Goodrich, founder and Director of Performance Initiatives in Savannah; and Bert Tenenbaum, Corporate Director of Wellness at Reliance Steel & Aluminum, parent company of Chatham Steel.

Throughout the series, Enmark Stations raised $2,000 to West Broad Street YMCA, $1,000 to the Savannah Bicycle Campaign, $2,000 to Girls on the Run of Coastal Georgia, $1,000 to Performance Initiatives and $1,200 to YMCA of Coastal Georgia.

Enmark Stations will present the 2015 Encourage Health Education Series beginning January. The lineup of speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
