The Council on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International (CARF), recently reaccredited Goodwill of the Coastal Empire for its Community Employment Services, including Employment Supports and Job Development, Organizational Employment and Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation. The three-year accreditation awarded to Goodwill of the Coastal Empire is the highest mark of excellence offered by CARF, and is the 10th time Goodwill of the Coastal Empire has earned a three-year seal. www.goodwillsavannah.org
CARF accreditation is considered the hallmark of excellence for rehabilitation organizations throughout North America and other parts of the world. The widely-respected credential attests to a service provider’s commitment to continuous improvement of services, encourages consumer input in finding evidenced-based strategies to serve the community better. Accreditation guides service providers in best practices, thereby improving the quality of services and meeting internationally-recognized quality standards. Consumers, their families, and the public look for CARF accreditation as assurance that providers strive to offer the highest quality services.
By pursuing and achieving accreditation, Goodwill demonstrates that it meets the rigid international quality standards and is committed to pursuing excellence in providing quality services to persons with disabilities. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.
