(SAVANNAH, GA) In response to Rotary International’s priority for “growing the next generation of Rotarians," a highly innovative new Rotary Club has been chartered in Savannah called the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Savannah.  Clint Murphy is the current President.

Gordon Matthews, Rotary’s local area District Governor said that he is delighted that Savannah will have  “the first Rotary club in the State of Georgia designed by and for those primarily under the age of 40 to respond to their specific interests, schedule and lifestyle.”

The meeting times, dates and content flex throughout the month to include traditional presentations, visits to business and industry, and service projects.  The Metro Savannah Rotary Club held its chartering celebration on April 17 with 49 charter members.

Membership in Rotary Clubs is by invitation as each club strives to maintain diversity in professions among its members.  The President of the club is Clint Murphy and its President-Elect is Jordan Neely Chase.
